Since childhood Kerry Clarensau has known God has a special call on her life.
“As a child, I felt a distinct call of God on my life, but at the age of ten I didn’t have any idea what that meant for me personally. I simply pursued Him and walked through every door He opened.”
God has opened many doors for Kerry, which have prepared her for her newest position as Leadership Development Coordinator for the national Women’s Ministries Department.
Kerry has served the Kansas District in different ministry roles and as national Missionettes Coordinator. Under her leadership the current Missionettes program was developed in 1998. She has also served as women’s pastor at Maranatha Worship Center in Wichita, Kansas, where her husband serves as senior pastor. She is a Bible teacher, writer, wife, mother and much more. Her role as pastor’s wife will be instrumental in developing effective leadership resources for the local church.
Kerry states, “I am believing God for His strength, wisdom, and resources as we work to fulfill His purposes in Women’s Ministries. As we strive to equip women with ministry resources, we must rely on God’s incredible creativity and insight.”
Arlene Allen, national Women’s Ministries Director agrees that it is a great opportunity for fresh vision in the resources provided through the national office. “You can look forward with anticipation for new resources from the national Women’s Ministries Department that will carry Kerry’s unique imprint.”
As Kerry balances her new role as independent contractor working with the national Women’s Ministries Department with her other roles, she is humbled by the doors God has not only opened, but guided her through.
“I pray I never take on the role of spiritual leadership without complete dependence on God and great humility. My motto is ‘Jesus—my joy and my reward.’ I want to live every moment of every day as if He were walking in the flesh right next to me. I also want to be able to say ‘Follow me, as I follow Christ.’”
