Being a caregiver to an Alzheimer’s patient can be discouraging and exhausting, particularly to a family member struggling to see his or her loved one in a gradual state of mental decline. Memories of when that person was strong, agile and alert become overshadowed by sadness and loss as caregivers watch their loved one digress into a mere shadow of who they used to be. More than anything, caregivers want to help their family member face an uncertain future with dignity.
The Ministry Packet, Quiet Place, was created to equip caregivers with support and resources to assist them as they walk this difficult journey with their loved one. This Ministry Packet can also help a church to connect with Alzheimer’s caregivers and educate concerned friends and family.
Contents include instructions for how to begin a Quiet Place ministry support group as well as several practical helps and a substantial resource list. A highlight of the Quiet Place Ministry Packet is a professionally produced DVD featuring beautiful images set to classic hymns. Those suffering from Alzheimer’s will enjoy the lovely scenes from nature, as well as Christmas imagery, as they listen to familiar, peaceful melodies. Also enclosed are several resources from the Alzheimer’s Association.
Quiet PlaceCreate a precious place where families affected by Alzheimer's can enjoy time alone with God. This Ministry Packet helps you church connect with Alzheimer's caregivers while also educating concerned friends and family. Interactive DVD included.
